We have an outstanding opportunity for a successful candidate, experienced in the Vocational, Education and Training (VET) sector, to become the Queensland State Manager for a highly regarded organisation.
Our client is a large dynamic group who are specialist training providers, delivering nationally accredited, industry-based training and assessment programs throughout Australia.
They are seeking to engage a State Manager who will be accountable for ensuring the profitability and delivery of quality accredited training services as well as having overall operations responsibility.
They are seeking an experienced VET senior manager who has a commercial background and a deep interest in education. The successful candidate will also ideally have; current developments in the industry, proven results in business growth, exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management and a record of success in the education sector.
The Key Performance indicators for the Queensland State Manager will be to:
Develop the business in line with the current strategy and business plan whilst driving ongoing growth and a performance-based culture.
Deliver commercial outcomes in line with the budget.
Deliver Training programs within all statutory requirements and specific contractual requirements.
This role will be most suitable for someone who has:
Demonstrated ability to run a successful and profitable training business over a sustained period
Demonstrated track record of professional sales and/or growing market base success
The leadership of multi-disciplinary teams
Well-developed strategic and operational planning skills
Effective planning and negotiation and analysis skills
Ability to write, present proposals and concept papers
Sound knowledge of AQTF standards and compliance experience
WHS, HR & relevant legislative requirements e.g. WHS, privacy, disability & other discrimination, Social Security Act, etc.
Intermediate knowledge of PC based applications e.g. Microsoft Office, database applications.
Ability to understand and work within complaints and conflict resolution procedures.
